Vienna, Va., June 11, 2012 — NJVC® is pleased to announce that Cary Landis, senior cloud architect, will speak on “Platform as a Service and Application Consolidation” at the 10th International Cloud Expo, June 11 –14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

Landis’ presentation will center on PaaS as the second wave in cloud computing, and the software application consolidation which it will enable. He will highlight the benefits that businesses and government agencies can expect as PaaS becomes mainstreamed over the next couple years: the ability to save millions of dollars on single, large-scale development projects, lower risks by taking advantage of pretested technologies, promote shared services and improve software security via a common security model. In addition, Landis will present discuss important PaaS-related trends: movement toward open platforms, the emergence of new, innovative software vendors during this new wave, adjustments in the way government projects are awarded and the surfacing of several special purpose platforms instead of a single de facto platform.
