VIENNA, Va., Jan. 18, 2012 —NJVC®, one of the largest information technology (IT) solutions providers supporting theU.S. Department of Defense (DoD), announces three executive-level new hires: Jay Emerson, director, data center services, Van Henderson, director, business development (BD), Charles Barker, director, capture.
Emerson has more than 35 years of technology-based industry experience in both the public and private sectors, and possesses extensive expertise in IT and business management practices, governance and organizational capability maturity and all aspects of data center lifecycle management—particularly software systems management, consolidations and migrations. Most recently, Emerson provided leadership and subject matter expertise to establish an enterprise architecture program for a primary DoD agency. Earlier, he was senior managing director, IT management consulting, withGartner, and chief technology officer/vice president, IT strategic architecture and planning, with CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield.
Barker is a 14-year veteran of international and domestic capture management, with an extensive background in engineering and program management. Most recently, Barker was senior capture manager with Raytheon where he managed a team of more than 70 participants and six companies to successfully execute every aspect of the capture process from initial shaping through to final price and win.
Henderson possesses more than three decades of executive-level experience in BD with companies, such as AT&T and Bell Systems. Most recently, he was director, BD, with TASC, Inc. Henderson’s career in both technical and BD capacities spans the aerospace, logistics and IT domains within the defense and federal civilian government markets.
