Management Team
As NJVC® Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jill Bruning is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations. Since taking the role in 2009, she has built an agile, responsive organization that keeps clients’ missions at the forefront of day-to-day operations. Ms. Bruning has successfully integrated all functional areas tied to the revenue lifecycle to enable business units to flexibly meet the evolving needs of clients and to ensure synthesis between current and future contracts.
Prior to assuming the COO role, Ms. Bruning was the NJVC Program Manager for a multi-billion dollar information technology/information services contract with one of the company’s Intelligence Community customers, leading more than 2,000 NJVC and subcontractor employees. As PM, she initiated a collaborative program framework which included exemplary innovations in communications and partnership framework. She completed 45 efficiency initiatives and enhanced service offerings to include cloud computing and cyber security. Significant improvements were realized to achieve:
- 30 percent increase in service level agreement performance
- 5 percent increase in award fee scores
- 7 percent increase in client satisfaction
- 25 percent savings in IT operations and sustainment costs
Before joining NJVC, Bruning was the Operations Director and Account Executive for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency account with Computer Sciences Corporation. She is a world-renowned expert in cryogenics and began her career as a technical researcher in cryogenics with Nichols Research Corporation. Ms. Bruning participated in the President’s Technical Working Group on Cryogenics, authored the cryogenic section of the Annual Technology Report to Congress and chaired several international technical conferences and symposiums. Ms. Bruning earned her master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, and undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL. She is PMP certified and the author of 27 publications and two patents.
