Senior Management Team

Jody Tedesco
President

As the President and General Manager of NJVC, Jody Tedesco is responsible for developing and driving an achievable strategic corporate plan and provides vision, direction and leadership to help the company reach its goals. He also oversees all company divisions that deliver information technology solutions to defense agencies within the Federal government, including the Department of Defense and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Based at NJVC's headquarters in Vienna, Va., Mr. Tedesco's goal is to manage and facilitate all business development efforts and client relations. He has over 25 years of corporate management experience in both the commercial and federal markets in the information technology industry.

Mr. Tedesco joined NJVC in 2005 as deputy general manager and IT/IS program manager and was promoted to his current role in 2006. Before joining the NJVC team, he was chief operating officer for Space Imaging, now GeoEye, located in Dulles, Va. In that role, he successfully expanded the company from the federal marketplace to the commercial market, increased revenues, and improved customer satisfaction.

Mr. Tedesco earned a bachelor's degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Co.


Jill Bruning
Chief Operating Officer

In her role as NJVC's Chief Operating Officer, Jill Bruning oversees and manages a staff of more than 900, supervises the IT/IS contract with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and supports the company's growth and business development initiatives.

Ms. Bruning joined NJVC in 2007 as IT/IS program manager for NGA and was promoted to her current role in 2008. She has more than 20 years of experience in information technology management, is the author of several published articles, and has established two patents.

Before joining the NJVC team, Ms. Bruning was a technical researcher with Nichols Research Corporation. Within 12 years, she was promoted to vice president for Nichols Research's Albuquerque Operations. In 2005, when Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) purchased Nichols, Ms. Bruning became the operations director and account executive for the entire corporation's business with NGA.  In that role, she was responsible for program execution, strategy, staffing, transition support and revenue, and customer relationship management.

Ms. Bruning earned her master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill.


Chris Andersen
Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Chris Andersen is the chief financial strategist for NJVC. He is also responsible for overseeing financial management of the company, including the functions of accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, financial risk, long-term planning, program control, performance metrics, and strategic pricing. Mr. Andersen was promoted to senior management from vice president of finance in June 2009.

Mr. Andersen has 22 years of professional experience, including 18 years of financial and analytical experience —14 years in a government contracting environment. He joined NJVC in early 2009 as vice president of finance, and managed the day-to-day activities of the 20-plus-member finance and accounting team.Mr. Andersen was previously a controller with BearingPoint in McLean, Va. During his tenure, he was a key member of the financial and accounting team that led the company to become current with SEC filings, and addressed and resolved many of BearingPoint’s complex accounting and business issues. Prior to BearingPoint, Mr. Andersen was with Science Applications International Corporation, also in McLean, Va., where he held various senior financial positions, including vice president and business unit controller. During his time there, Mr. Andersen led acquisitions, the integration of an acquisition and a divestiture, and turned around a business unit with a poor audit record. Earlier in his career, he held a variety of senior accounting and financial analyst positions with companies in Northern Virginia and was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, providing direct global support to the President of the United States.Mr. Andersen earned a bachelor’s degree in business management magna cum laude from Park College in Parkville, Mo., and a master’s of business administration from Averett College in Danville, Va. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.


Susie Wagner
Senior VP, Human Resources

As Senior Vice President of Human Resources for NJVC, Susie Wagner oversees staffing and retention, employee relations, compensation, training and development, executive coaching and mentoring, and all internal communications. She has more than 30 years of experience in recruitment and management.

Before joining NJVC in 2005, Ms. Wagner was director of human resources for BAE Systems in Reston, Va. In this role, she achieved many accomplishments, including the successful development of a recruiting organization that hired an average of 200 cleared engineers annually. Ms. Wagner also designed and implemented communications tools that enabled management to stay connected with employees at multiple off-site locations.

She earned a master's degree in organizational development from The Oxford University in Wellington Square, Oxford, U.K. and a bachelor's degree in human resources from American University in Washington, D.C.


Paul Davis
Chief Technology Officer

Paul Davis, in his role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for NJVC, provides technology leadership, program oversight, and business development support to the entire organization. He joined NJVC in this position in 2008.   

His background includes over twenty years of professional experience.  Mr. Davis has worked within the Information Technology Industry in areas that include the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense (DoD), Telecommunications, Finance, and Federal Government, providing product engineering direction, and working with executive management and engineering teams. He has supported centralized and decentralized engineering teams across the globe.  He is adept in providing product solutions in support of profit and loss management, budgetary planning and strategic and tactical initiatives.  He has been a speaker at conferences to include eGov on continuity of operations planning (COOP), 25th Digital Avionics Systems Conference (DASC) conference on NEO Mission Security, and 2008 DoDIIS Worldwide discussing Analytic Transformation’s Data Architecture that includes A-Space, Library of National Intelligence, IC-Data Layer, and Catalyst.

Mr. Davis has provided support for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Counter Intelligence Foreign Activity (CIFA), National Geospatial Agency (NGA), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients and other Government Agencies. Highlights of Mr. Davis’ career include being the lead technologist for Army CIO/G6 Current and Joint Operations development of the Defense Continuity Infrastructure Network (DCIN) program that resulted from the 9/11 attack against the Pentagon, and overseeing the re-design for the National Crime Information System (NCIC) 2000 program.  Mr. Davis is currently focused on Cloud Computing, the Semantic Web, as well as researching future technologies for NJVC’s Service Catalog.

Mr. Davis is an active member of many industry associations including the American Council for Technology (ACT/IAC), Object Management Group (OMG), AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) International, and the Semantic Interoperability Community of Practice (SICoP).

He earned a degree in computer information systems from Strayer University in Washington, D.C., a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, and an executive master of science in information systems (EMIS) from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.


Tom Sofo
General Counsel

Tom Sofo joined NJVC in November 2009 as General Counsel. As General Counsel, Mr. Sofo serves as in-house legal counsel and provides or secures accurate and timely legal advice and guidance to facilitate the conduct of authorized NJVC business activities. In addition to his legal portfolio, Mr. Sofo is also NJVC’s legislative liaison. He is a member of NJVC’s Executive Leadership Team providing strategic and policy direction to NJVC.

Mr. Sofo brings over 35 years of legal experience to his position, specializing in contracts, employment law, transactional, and compliance as well as licensing and software. Prior to joining NJVC, he was employed with Apptis Holdings in Delaware, Cole, Raywid, & Braverman, LLP of Washington, D.C and The FiberTech Group, Inc. of Landisville, NJ. Additionally, he offers extensive entrepreneurial experience having worked as a private consultant with a number of government agencies, trade press and the investment community.

Mr. Sofo is active with the Association of Corporate Counsel, Washington Metropolitan Area Association of Corporate Counsel, the Virginia, Florida, and Alaska Bar Association. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and his J.D. from Cornell University Law School in Ithaca, NY.


Christina Renschen
Chief Administrative Officer

As Chief Administrative Officer for NJVC, Christina Renschen oversees key corporate initiatives, security, facilities management, corporate policies, and governance. She is responsible for helping achieve corporate financial bookings and workshare goals in addition to increasing performance and award fee scores for the IT/IS program with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and improving security processes.

Ms. Renschen was promoted to her current role in 2008. Since joining NJVC in 2001, she has held a variety of positions within the company including transition manager, director of program support, director of technical services, chief of staff, and western area executive.

Before joining NJVC, Ms. Renschen served many years with the National Imaging and Mapping Agency (NIMA/DMA, now part of NGA) in a variety of positions including cartographer, joint plans officer, geodesist, production manager, and supervisory physical scientist. In those roles, she gained an extensive knowledge of mission, organization, program, resource allocation, and execution requirements with a proven ability to design and implement strategies that maximize employee potential.

Ms. Renschen earned a master's degree in computer resources and information management from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Missouri Baptist University, both in St. Louis, Mo.  She also completed post-graduate work in Business Administration at the University of Massachusetts, and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
